Whistleblower Protection Policy

The purpose of this Whistleblower Protection Policy is to ensure Neighborhood Falmouth (NF) adherence to state and federal laws that protect whistleblowers. This document states the policy, and outlines the process to be followed when an issue is raised by a whistleblower.

The policy is that the organization will not retaliate against an employee who has made a protest against some practice of Neighborhood Falmouth on the basis of a reasonable belief that the practice is in violation of law. NF will promptly investigate the complaint, and will take appropriate corrective action if warranted.

The process to be followed by the whistleblower is that a written complaint must be filed with the NF Board President. NF will acknowledge receipt of the reported violation to the whistleblower. NF must then have a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct the alleged unlawful activity.

New employees are to be made aware of the policy and acknowledge in writing their receipt.
