Services for Seniors

Falmouth Senior Center

The Falmouth Council on Aging functions as a human service organization for all residents of Falmouth who are at least 60 years old. The Council, a Town of Falmouth agency, provides assistance, information on available resources, health services, referrals to other community organizations, education and recreation programs and activities. There is a special emphasis in promoting Healthy Aging and Enhancing Quality of Life for Seniors. The new Senior Center is located at 780 Main Street in Falmouth.  Tel: 508-540-0196

Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands

Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands is a private, not-for-profit community-based organization dedicated to serving older adults in Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties. Some of the programs offered by Elder Services include: in-home services for frail seniors, nutrition services and meal delivery, long-term care screening, options counseling, family caregiver support, protective services for abused or neglected seniors, and money management programs, among others.  Tel: 508-394-4630 or 1-800-244-4630

Mental Health Services

Falmouth Human Services

A town agency, the licensed, professional staff of Falmouth Human Services provide a broad range of counseling, outreach, advocacy, information and referral services for individual, couples, family and groups. All services are free of charge, confidential and available to all Falmouth residents. The agency is located at 65A Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  Tel: 508-548-0533

Gosnold on Cape Cod

Gosnold is a nationally accredited non-profit organization that provides prevention, treatment and recovery of mental health and substance use disorders. Gosnold offers a full continuum of care for drug and alcohol addiction and substance use disorder offering a wide range of treatment options.

Health Care Services

Community Health Center of Cape Cod

The Community Health Center with primary care offices in Mashpee, Falmouth, and Bourne, functions like any doctor’s office, offering services such as office visits, checkups, screenings and management for chronic conditions. Also, the organization offers telemedicine, dental, vision and behavioral health, family planning, an onsite pharmacy and an optical shop. The health center is a non-profit organization that cares for all patients, regardless of ability to pay. See website for providers and office locations. Cape Cod Healthcare

Cape Cod Healthcare is the primary provider of healthcare services for residents and visitors of Cape Cod. With more than 450 physicians, 5,300 employees and 1,100 volunteers, Cape Cod Healthcare has two acute care hospitals, homecare and hospice services, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility (JML Care Center), an assisted living facility (Heritage at Falmouth), the Cape’s only local laboratory service and numerous health programs.

  • The organization's website has a listing of physicians on the Cape including availability of primary care. 

  • Cape Cod Healthcare runs four Urgent Care Centers including one in Falmouth. The centers staffed by ER-trained doctors and nurses, offer the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. 

Community Service Organizations

Falmouth Service Center 

This multi-service agency offers a wide range of services for residents of the Upper Cape. A major component of the program is an extensive food pantry that residents/clients may visit once every two weeks as needed. In addition, financial assistance, in conjunction with budget management workshops, is available to clients who need housing assistance and/or help paying utilities. The Service Center is located at 611 Gifford Street in Falmouth.
