Services We Provide

 

With one phone call or email message, Neighborhood Falmouth connects members with a variety of staff-based, volunteer and professional services as well as references to Senior Center and other local agency services, when appropriate. Planned Neighborhood Falmouth benefits include:

 

  • Light home maintenance, such as light-bulb changing, mattress flipping, and hanging pictures, performed by volunteers.

 

  • Transport to the grocery store once a week, usually with one or two other members, by a driver who will help take the groceries into your house. 

 

  • Transport to medical appointments when your doctor advises you not to drive.

 

  • A safety review of your home and assistance with making needed changes.

  

  • Assistance with electronic items including computers, cell phones, and programmable devices such as thermostats, DVDs, clocks, and watches.

 

  • Connections to other members who share your interests and hobbies, such as knitting and other crafts, painting, card games, sports, cars, and others

 

  • Social and cultural activities determined by member interests.

 

  • Home monitoring when you are on vacation and emergency pet care.

 

  • Arrangements for telephone check-ins daily (or at other regular intervals) among members or with volunteers.

 

  • Volunteer opportunities to help other members.

 

  • *Access to a list of pre-screened vendors you can trust (licensed and insured, where appropriate).  Handymen, prepared meal providers, housecleaners, plumbers, window washers, electricians, painters, rug cleaners, tax preparers, financial advisers, home care providers, snow removal, and yard workers are among those on this list.

 

 * Members will arrange payment for these professional services directly with the vendors.

 

Suggestions are welcome for other services and activities that will help members live independently, safely, and comfortably for as long as possible in their own home.
